Fun Fantasy Fiction for You!
Happy pre-equinox day, my lovely Enclave friend!
I think it's so cool that wherever we are in the world, we're all experiencing an equinox tomorrow. For me, this pre-autumn time is usually filled with reflection and anticipation: what expectations for the year will I let go of for this season of contemplation? And what new ideas or perspectives will I draw closer to myself during this beloved cozy season?
Last year at this time, I was finishing up Song of Parting, a second prequel novella for Buried Heroes. The Age of Azuria series starts in the spring, and we're just hitting summer at the end of Amber Queen, but I really wanted to write something about the fall that took place outside a grove of autumnwood trees. And this story from Iellieth and Teodric's time together in Io Keep seemed the perfect fit for that!
